Electrical Technical Engineering

The Department of Electrical Engineering Techniques is a technical engineering specialisation concerned with the study and application of technologies related to electrical energy, electrical and electronic systems, and control systems. The department combines theoretical grounding with practical application through laboratories and training, with the aim of preparing graduates capable of designing, operating and maintaining electrical systems and equipment.

The specialisation covers fields such as the generation, transmission and distribution of electrical power, motors and generators, electrical networks, renewable energy, control and automation, and electronics.

Graduates of the department are able to work in power generation, transmission and distribution stations, in industrial projects and energy companies, and in the operation and maintenance of electrical equipment and systems across both the public and private sectors.
